What word comes to your mind when you think of horse?

For generations, horse has long been a beloved friend of human being, not only because It helps farmer to carry the seeds for the land, then ride them go to the town to sell the harvest from the land, but also because its personalities. Horse is so beautiful and smart, love freedom but also very loyal to human being. From child to senior citizen, from farmer to white color young people, whenever you mention horse, you will see the sparkle in their eyes.

Grown up in a small town, there is a mountain not far from my home. I often see people climb the mountain with their horses aside. As a little girl, it is quite interesting to see a real horse, but at the same time, I also afraid to touch it. 

It was in 2020, a winter day, I was reading, suddenly, I saw a picture of horse. How strong and beautiful this creature is, just as my memories. I talked to myself, and then I decided to make a horse brooch for the people who share the same love for horses.

Another reason I decided to make this horse brooch is because as a jeweler, I found there is a very limited choice for a horse topic jewelry. There are some luxury all diamond covered horse jewelry, but barely see a horse jewelry people can easily afford and pass as a gift to anyone they love. 

Before I started to carve, I spent a few weeks to just studying horse. Though I don't have a farm, and no horse around but I turned myself back to that little girl, who was always curious to check the neighbour's horse, though most of time, they are just chewing their foods. And with all the horse pictures and videos online, I have a map in my heart and mind, I know exactly how they ride, walk, how their eyes look like...At that moment, I know I am ready to go. To be honest, I enjoyed such a beautiful creature during my process of studying horse. 

This one I presented here, is the first of Gemelf Jewelry's horse brooch, I will keep carving the second horse, the third horse and other many horses in the future. If this small piece of jewelry could remind you some sweet memories, I will be so happy to know that every moment is deserved.
